Galaxy Store

Yes, Samsung has Galaxy Store. Galaxy Store is the software marketplace for Galaxy devices and has essential software like third-party Android games and apps, Samsung Galaxy Watch apps and watch faces, themes for personalizing phones, and Bixby capsules.

No, there is no sign-up nor annual fee to use Galaxy Store. However, there is revenue sharing for transactions. See section 6, Revenue Share and Tax, of the Samsung Galaxy Store Seller Portal Terms and Conditions.

Android. Your Android games/apps should work on Samsung phones.

It is recommended that each game have a different package name on Galaxy Store if the game is or will be available on Google Play. For example, when you submit your game to Galaxy Store, use the package name com.myGame.Samsung. When you submit the same game to Google play, use the package name com.myGame.Google.

Also, for in-app purchases, games submitted to Galaxy Store must use Samsung IAP.

You can upload large APK files to Seller Portal (2 GB+ is supported). However, only APK files can be uploaded. You cannot upload .aab or .obb files.

Game development

It is recommended that the game/app have a unique package name (different from the package name used for Google Play) and, if billing for in-app items, use Samsung IAP. See Recommendations to bring your game to Galaxy Store for more information.

Android versions vary according to phone platform/model. To ensure maximum compatibility, target the minimum version among the devices you choose to support.

Samsung devices support OpenGL ES and Vulkan.

Yes. Build for the Android platform for each of these engines.

Yes, Samsung In-App-Purchase (IAP) has a plugin for Unity and Unreal.

Samsung platforms and devices

The flagship platforms are the S and Note series. The mid-range platforms are the A and J series.

The Galaxy Store doesn't impose a minimum requirement. You can develop an app for as many platforms as you wish.
