Event: SmartThings at San Francisco IoT Meetup!

Join us next week at our first event in 2019! On February 25th, the SmartThings Developer Relations team will be at the San Francisco IoT Meetup. Vinay Rao, Engineering Manager at SmartThings will be giving a presentation on "Streamlining IoT Systems: SmartThings Cloud-to-Cloud Device Integrations". Here, you will be provided with an insider view into use cases of devices integrated with SmartThings and controlled by Bixby and other voice assistants, as well as a full ecosystem of automation and service integrations. You will learn about ways you can develop and partner with SmartThings.
Vinay discovered his passion for IoT while researching interference patterns for connected IoT devices in the 2.4 GHz band with his professor at North Carolina State University. Before joining SmartThings, he spent his weekends building a touchless voice interface, before Amazon Alexa was available, by integrating Moto X and three other services to turn on lights on the SmartThings platform. After joining SmartThings in early 2015, he has worked on integrating Zigbee, LAN and Cloud-connected devices. He recently completed a “Super LAN Connect” project, which completely rearchitected the LAN device integration on the SmartThings platform. He is currently working on performance improvement for Cloud connect devices.
We will also be handing out some swag as well as raffling off a Samsung Galaxy Watch!
